Job Location Kaduna
Job Objective To effectively develop, coordinate and present training and development programs for all trainees and employees in automotive related fields to achieve the Centre’s objectives.
Job Division/ Department/Unit PLC/Body Works
Job Level/Grade Officer – CONTRACT
Reporting Line Head, Body Works
Key Job Responsibilities 1.      Plan and direct classroom training in  Panel Beating & Welding and develop appropriate testing templates and questions to adequately gauge trainees’ academic learning progress

2.      Prepare and conduct technical training programs.

3.      Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).

4.     Mentor other Demonstrators in subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses.

5.      Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.

6.     Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.

7.      Liaise with the various heads of departments to provide counselling services to trainees.

8.     City & Guilds: Assessor.

 

Education & Experience

 

1.      First Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering. Professional qualification e.g. COREN, Auto EI/ NSE.

2.       A Bachelor of Education degree with technical training experience at a post-secondary level, City & Guilds Advanced Diploma (IVQs) in Teaching, Training & Assessing Learning (1106).

3.       Experience in Auto Body Works.

5+ year’s cognate experience, including 2+ years of relevant experience at a management role.

Key Job Responsibilities 1. Plan and conduct practical demonstration of panel beating learning instruction in the workshop, develop appropriate testing templates and questions to adequately gauge trainees’ academic learning progress

2. Create instruction materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).

3. Maintain safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.

4.Provide guidance and coaching to trainees during practical classes and simulation exercises.

5. Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.

6.Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.

7. Liaise with the various Demonstrators to provide counselling services to trainees.

8.City & Guilds: Assessor.

Additional Responsibilities: Assists the 5S pilot of the Centre and assists in the carrying out of local craft and general maintenance of the Centre.

Job Specifications

 

1.      Trade Test Levels 1 to 3; or

2.      SSCE/ND or

3.      PLC 1 Year Technical Program Graduate or

4.     TSDP Graduate with not less than 3 years on the job experience.

2.      Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).

3.      Maintain safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.

4.     Provide guidance and coaching to trainees during practical classes and simulation exercises.

5.      Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.

6.     Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.

7.      Liaise with the various Demonstrators to provide counselling services to trainees.

Qualification

 

1.      Trade Test Levels 1 to 3; or

2.      SSCE/ND or

3.      PLC 1 Year Technical Program Graduate or

4.     TSDP Graduate with not less than 3 years on the job experience

5.      Knowledge of Auto HVAC systems is an added advantage.
